New TD Bank Branch Under Construction at Lansdowne Place Mall Parking Lot
A new TD Bank branch is currently under construction in the parking lot at Lansdowne Place Mall, near SportChek. The standalone, two-storey bank is being built at the intersection of High and Lansdowne streets. It was still unclear when this new branch would be ready to open.
Site plans from city hall provide more details about the bank branch. For example, it’s expected that there will be trees planted, plus new landscaping, at the corner of High and Lansdowne streets as reported in the Peterborough Examiner. The plan further shows parking for 51 cars, including five designated spots for seniors, plus a bike rack. The engineering for this project is being led by D.M. Wills Associates Limited of Peterborough, with Toronto-based Daniel Johnson Architect Inc. handling the building design.
Recent Closures and Branch Transfers in the Peterborough Area
The TD Bank branch in Peterborough Square closed for good in downtown Peterborough in the fall of 2021. At that time, customer accounts were planned to be transferred to the TD branch at Monaghan Road and Lansdowne Street. In 2019, both the Omemee and Bethany branches closed in the area.
Other TD Bank Branches in Peterborough
In addition to the TD branch at 830 Monaghan Rd., there are two other TD Bank branches in Peterborough:
-
1096 Lansdowne St. W. (in the Party City plaza)
-

Peterborough Lakers Stand Off Against City Over Lacrosse Venue Dispute
Background:
