Bald Lake is a unique lake because it has access to six other lakes in the Kawartha chain without having to lock. Pigeon Lake can take you to Little and Big Bald Lakes and Buckhorn Lake through Gannons Narrows and from there you can travel to Chemong Lake and Upper Chemong Lake.
Little Bald Lake contains wild rice on the North shore which is harvested by the Curve Lake first nation in the Fall.
There are many shallow areas that are heavily weeded with submerged logs, stumps and lily pad beds, making great bass fishing. Boat launch located at: Oak shores marina 1443 Kennedy Drive. The surface area is approximately 388.9hectors (961 acers) Max depth is approximately 9.4m (31feet).
