When I got home last night the inside of the house was decorated for Halloween. The kids carve their pumpkins that they grew themselves in the garden. When we drive to hockey we listen to Harry Potter stories. So they decided this years Halloween theme was Harry Potter. We have three characters from the story as jack-o-lanterns and we have spiders, wands skeletons and cobwebs all over the house. Scary stuff!
It was pouring that cold fall rain this morning. You know that cold stuff that wants to make you go straight back to bed? Going for a walk every morning makes you feel better throughout the day. That half hour hike makes or breaks a day and its production. Rain or shine, Susan, Jax and I walk. Today was no exception. We sucked it up, we went for a hike, and afterwords I feel better for doing it!
Is it time for names like Bruce Boudreau or Rick Tocchet to take over the Leafs bench? How about a Jim Rutherford or Dale Hunter for the GM seat? I am ready. Way to many failures with this crew.
Any desire to do anything outside quickly went away after our walk. I was going to do some outdoor marketing but the rain never stopped. I spent the day in the office cleaning up the stuff for that I avoid doing. On the other hand it’s nice to have done. I picked up lunch for Susan and I at the Wattle and Daub. Nice hot soup is what the doctor ordered. If you’re ever in Bancroft it’s high on the list of restaurants to try for lunch.
Power skating night in Hockey. 3 hours spent at the rink. The power skating makes such a difference and worth the time investment!
